Episode 20: Being in the Work takes Practice
Being in the work of personal development takes practice.
That moment it starts is a call for us to wake up everywhere in our life. It doesn’t just happen like that. And if it does, it’s usually short lived. It’s a process and a practice of peeling back the layers of ourselves. We begin to expose our blindspots - it can happen publicly or privately. But when you say yes to personal development, it will be revealed. The work doesn’t end there. We keep living and facing the world while also having a level of awareness that allows us to separate how we used to live from how we want to live. Patty Ivey shares her heartfelt wisdom in our conversation. Patty’s openness and relatability is a breath of fresh air and her love for personal development is felt through the sound waves of this conversation.
Patty Ivey is the founder of DownDog Yoga in Washington D.C. Above all things, Patty is honest and a woman of integrity.
